Nash at Kew and fun capes.

I recently went on a visit to Kew Gardens, a botanical garden near my family home in London. They currently have an exhibition of work by the artist David Nash installed throughout the gardens and in the greenhouses. His work is so beautiful and the setting compliments the pieces even further.

They also had an exhibition of orchids which were absolutely stunning. I never realised quite how many varieties there were!

I got quite excited and took a few too many photographs.

Look at this little chap we found wandering round the conservatory.

When in Paris...

Dress like Madeline. This has got to be one of my favourite dresses. That collar. Enough said! I am sure it will make a re-appearance here before too long, hopefully when it is not so wintery and it can be seen properly!

These shots were taken when I recently went on a trip to Paris with some girlfriends. Unfortunately the weather was not as generous as it could have been so these were taken quickly as the sun fleetingly appeared from behind the clouds! Paris itself gets more beautiful every time I go, as I discover and wander through more hidden streets and places.

Since moving to Australia, I have become much more appreciative of how close countries in Europe are. I can just hop on the train from London to Paris which is about three and a half hours door to door. I have a couple of friends in Sydney who travel that far to get to university each day!

Oh, look at me I'm dancing.

If you know what musical that is from..bravo. If not, you should look up Salad Days now! I have recently been to see it in London at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith and it was wonderful. I may cheekily be going to see it again tomorrow...shhh! I thoroughly recommend it to any other musical lovers like me out there!

These photos were taken after a lazy lunch with my lovely lady, Sophie, at one of our favourite places. There was not supposed to be so much alliteration in that sentence I promise!

I am now going to spend the afternoon with my mother who is at any moment now going to return home from a holiday in Sydney. I am going back to Sydney next week so every minute is precious! I wish you all a very happy monday...

Country Life.

Today, I am taking you with me on a walk in the countryside of Herefordshire. We were blessed to have such a beautiful sunny day, which you England people will know is a rarity! This walk was full of family, love and laughter. Enjoy!

This is my beautiful and wonderful dog, Tilly. I am of course am wearing a deerstalker (a sherlock hat). When in the country...

However much I love London, sometimes I just need to get out of the city and take in these beautiful surroundings.

We met this man training his hunting dogs, which turns out is a rather complicated process featuring a multitude of varying whistles. The little boy was an adorable miniature version of his father complete with stick. The perfect little English country gentleman!

Pip, our charming lion-dog.

Yes, there is lots of mud..

This sight made us giggle. It looks as though a child has been swallowed by the tree. Could that sound like a plot from Roald Dahl book possibly?
